Before all the mayhem and drama that fatal night when French Montana and his entourage was shot at in the parking lot (one man dead) of Holiday Inn Express in Philadelphia the entertainer was on stage at the Theater of Living Arts. He brought Meek Mill on stage to put on for his city. Meek performed “Ima Boss”, “Believe It” and “Racked Up Shawty”.
Last night French Montana did a show at Theatre of the Living Arts on South Street in Philadelphia and after the show him and his entourage headed back to the hotel, the Holiday Inn Express on North Christopher Columbus Blvd. As they stood outside the tour bus in the front parking lot of the hotel witnesses say a car drove by shooting.
Bullets hit a 27-year old man in the abdomen who did not survive the fatal shot and was pronounced dead at Hahnemann University Hospital. Bullets also hit a man in the shoulder who drove to Jefferson University Hospital in a personal vehicle.
Police questioned at least two dozen people who were in the crowd. Several people were arrested, but not in connection to the actual shooting, but because they had semi-automatic weapons on their person at the scene of the crime.
No arrests or charges in connection to the drive-by shooting has been made yet. Investigation continues. Police do not believe French Montana or his crew was the targets for the drive-by shooting.
The child welfare and protection agency in the state of Massachusetts is investigating the parents of 9 year old rap artist Lil Poopy who is also associated with French Montana label Coke Boys (but not signed to the label). Lil Poopy has been living a ratchet lifestyle played out on video for the public. He’s seen smacking booties, rapping about drugs, hanging out with video vixens and just doing things too grown for a nine year old kid.
His father says, “he’s not doing anything wrong.”
I’m actually with pops on this one. I don’t think the government should get involved, because its not up to them how you raise your kids. It may be bad parenting, but he’s not endangering his child. The kid isn’t doing drugs, having sex, harming anyone or being abused — he’s just having discretional fun.
I don’t blame the state of Massachusetts for investigating, because they doing the right thing . .. . that’s their job, but I doubt the investigation will actually go anywhere or they’ll take the child from his father unless more is found out.
