A new Big Tymers album is coming, but when Sway asked is Mannie Fresh going to be a part of the project Birdman quickly shut it down and said “no”. However, Lil Wayne did confirm that Drake will be a part of the album and is ready to record music for it.
The Rick Gang drops visuals for their track Tapout. It includes verses from Lil Wayne, Birdman, Mack Mane, Nicki Minaj and vocals from Future. Christina Millian and Paris Hilton make cameo appearances in the video as cat burglars.
Brian “BirdmanBaby” Williams got his start early and with all the fame came jewelry, tattoos, cars, money and other accessories. Ever wondered what he looked like without all the extras, when he was just a regular guy. Check out this rare photo of Baby as a young pup getting his start.
Birdman talks to Angie Martinez of Hot 97 about Lil Wayne health condition. He says Tunechi is doing much better and sustaining. Birdman claims Weezy will be headed home from Cedars-Sinai hospital within the next day or two. He also denies rumors of sizzurp playing a part in activating his seizures and says TMZ was misinforming the public on the severity of his condition. He says Lil Wayne was never on life support.
I just can’t believe this nicca has diplomatic immunity, even though he’s showing us papers. I’ve never heard of any rapper or entertainer ever having diplomatic immunity, not even the great Michael Jackson, so its hard to believe Birdman is an untouchable diplomat. I do understand there are different levels of a diplomatic status, but c’mon really son???
Lil Wayne made a comment earlier this week where he said, “I Don’t Like New York.” Although it was an off the cuff statement many people are taking it to heart and feels offended by the comment. NYC Senator Malcolm Smith is one who is offended and demanding an apology from the New Orleans rapper.
The senator is feeling some type of way, because he is a die-hard New York native and feel that someone like Lil Wayne who makes revenue from New Yorkers, has a growing NY fanbase, has artist on his label from New York, and has had plenty of success in his profession of hip hop which derives from New York and is the birthplace of rap music — is a bit disrespectful for TUnechi to flat out say he doesn’t like New York.
Birdman gives us his stance on the comment and says he’s sticking by his son’s side. “If he don’t like it, then we don’t like it!” He apparently rocking with Weezy’s outlook on the city.
How do you feel about the comment? Do you think Weezy was not being sensitive to his NY fan base?
Wayne is in the process of writing a book about his stay on Rikers Island.
