Troy Ave is currently in police custody for last week’s shooting at T.I. concert in NYC at Irving Plaza Ballroom.  Troy Ave, whose real name is Ronald Collins appeared in court for arraignment this morning with his lawyer and took a plea of not guilty.  The judge accepted the plea, and remanded him without bail.

Troy Ave lawyer, Scott Leemon, says Troy is the real victim.  Leemon said,

“What really happened here is Mr. Collins here is the real victim.

The person who was killed (McPhatter) at this event, he died a hero. He was his bodyguard. He wasn’t shot by Mr. Collins. He was a lifelong friend.”

He continued with saying,

“This 11 seconds of video that the NYPD released, it doesn’t say what happened before, it doesn’t say what happened after. The scientific evidence will show he didn’t shoot himself. This was another rush to judgement.

In this case he’s the victim and should be treated like the victim.”

This investigation is still ongoing and details are sketchy.  Currently Troy Ave is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.  However, police can introduce new charges, including murder, if the investigation uncovers new details, but they could also drop all charges or reduce charges if the evidence is in Tory Ave’s favor.

There has been plenty of speculation on the web involving the case, but no hardcore proof has come forward as of yet.  There has even been several name drops of other parties involved, but still the investigation continues.

I’m not sure why or how he had a court date scheduled for Memorial Day, but maybe some courts operate on different schedules, it was a video appearance, or something else.  I don’t know.  Maybe even the footage was from last Friday or something.  Who knows.  Hopefully the truth comes out soon and whatever the outcome justice is properly served.

Gucci Mane Released from Jail May 2016

The homie Gucci Mane has been released from prison and now a free man!!!  It’s going to be a cold summer … Burrr

Gucci’s girlfriend, Keyshia Ka’oir, took to Snapchat to share the good news with a video of them both wearing bracelets and holding hands while riding out.  Then, she recorded another vid of her rubbing his back and checking out his abs.

His face was not shown in either video, so it has yet to be officially confirmed, but by all accounts this seems legit.  The Atlanta rapper was due home this year anyway, and why would Keyshia play like that??

Gucci was arrested in September 2013 on a probation violation.  Today he was released 4 months early from a Indiana prison after serving 2 years and 4 months.  Reportedly, the rapper is already in the 1017 recording studio making new music.  His current booking price is $100k, so get ya money up!

“Cam’ron Is A Rat” Says Taxstone And Threatens To Smack Cam

The beef is heating up between Taxstone and Cam’ron.  While in an interview with VladTV Taxstone calls Cam and Tupac rats.  He eludes to this conclusion because Cam’ron and Tupac offered up details to the police during the time they were shot.  Although, it didn’t officially lead to an arrest, because the details offered up were sketchy, Taxstone still feels Cam’ron and Tupac lead the police in the direction to make an arrest, which ultimately makes them a rat in his eyes.

Cam’ron response:

After Taxstone had his interview and it went live, Cam’ron got wind and had his own response:

Taxstone responds again:

Unphased by Cam’ron response Taxstone responds with his own threatening response to smack the shit out of the Dipset representative.

Cam, tag you’re it!  Let’s see if he responds or let’s this one slide.  There’s a lot of disrespect going around these days.  It doesn’t seem Tax is putting any respek on Cam’s name.  I can’t imagine Cam’ron letting this ride, but Cam is older, wiser and more intelligent nowadays, so he might not see this as anything threatening or worthy of his time.  His G is probably tested all the time in these streets.

Sidebar:
My personal take on the whole “No Snitching” movement is that it’s a stupid and idiotic mentality.  If someone harms you or your family, then you have every right to bring that person to justice, by any means.  You don’t have to take the option of handling things yourself.

Now, I believe in the principle of “No Snitching” when it pertains to two or more people who consent to commit a crime together and if anyone gets caught, then they should not snitch out their co-defendants.

However, the victim of a crime has every right to tell the full story to the police and anyone else to make an arrest and fully prosecute.  It’s crazy to think you can harm anyone you want (especially your own people) and feel there should be no consequences for your actions or somehow the victim played you and did you wrong if they run tell the police.  Everyone isn’t built for that “handle it yourself” life, and shouldn’t need to be or expected to be.

Suboi Raps for Obama

During a Q&A session in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a 26-year old female rapper, named Suboi stood to ask President Barack Obama the last question, “How important it is for a nation to really help promote the art and culture of the nation?”

Before giving his official answer, the President asked her to spit a rhyme in her native tongue.  He said, “Do you need a little beat?”  Then, he broke into a playful beatbox.  The political rapper quickly obliged and spit Vietnamese bars on the mic.

When Mr. President asked her what the rap was about, she said, “I was talking about a lot of people having a lot of money, big houses, but are they really happy?”

President Obama continued with the answer to her original question.  Watch the video below for more.

Nipsey Hussle was busted last year June 2015 for sipping codeine in a cup with ice and a unknown soft drink, as well as driving on a suspended license.  Charges of riding around while under the influence were dropped in accordance to his no contest plea.

Nipsey got lucky, because he was senteneced to five days in jail for his misbehavior.  However, he only needs to serve 2 days, because he has already been credited for serving 3 days, during his initial arrest.  The 30-year old rapper, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, will serve out his additional two days before July 1, 2016.

His attorney, Mark Bledstein, explained that his client packed the opiates for the beating his voice endures while on his tour.  Unfortunately, the judge didn’t fall for the excuse and still sentenced Mr. Hussle to five days in jail.
