After finishing a concert back in 2007 Jeffrey “Ja Rule” Atkins Maybach was pulled over for speeding. After police conducted a vehicle search they found a loaded handgun in the rear door. This unfortunate incident has left the rapper with two years to serve in a New York prison.
After taking the plea, Justice Richard Carruthers told Ja Rule he will serve no less than two years in prison. Ja Rule is due back in court in February for sentencing.
Ironically, the night of the incident is the same concert Lil Wayne was coming from when he was arrested for weapon charges. It seems the hip hop police are heavy on the scene.

TMZ reports the rap legend, Kurtis Blow, has been busted for weed after a TSA body scanner in the Los Angeles Airport found a stash of gonja in his pockets. The recently ordained hip hop minister was lucky enough to be in California, because things could have turned out differently.
The Californian law enforcement squad just gave the old school rapper a ticket and sent him on his way, as this is standard procedure for someone with less than an ounce of pot.

The big cuz, Snoop Dogg, has recruited Wiz Khalifa for his latest album. It’s been reported that they have recorded a song called, “This Weed is Mine” which is proper tagging for the two smoke heavy rappers.
The modern day Cheech & Chong will give stoners a smoke anthem. Snoop is scheduled to release his eleventh studio album titled, “Doggumentary Music” which will also list the new track with Wiz.

Lil Wayne has struck gold with his album “I am Not a Human Being” and so did Waka Flocka Flame wit’ his single, “No Hands“. Both sold over 500,000 copies from their project.
The certification for Weezy has been confirmed and he has earned a gold plaque, while Waka Flocka certification of gold is at present a rumor, but I have all the faith Waka will strike gold if he hasn’t already.

So Kanye West comes out the victor, as his first week album sales were 518,775 while Nicki Minaj album sales were 371,049. Good numbers for both artist, let’s hope they go platinum.
Lloyd Banks who also dropped last week came in at #25 selling 45,188 albums his first week.
