Waka Flocka Flame sits down with Hot 93.7 and chops it up with Jenny Boom and DJ Craig G.  They get down to it and discuss the recent police house raid at Waka Flocka’s Atlanta home.  It was first reported the raid was to bust up a prostitution ring, but later it became known police were searching for gang paraphernalia, drugs, and weapons.  Gucci Mane was detained in the raid, but later set free.  Waka was not there at the time of the raid, no warrant has been issued as of yet.

Jenny Boom and DJ Craig G asked Waka questions about Nicki Minaj, since they are close friends.  Waka’s mother Deb Antney use to manage Nicki Minaj along with Gucci, Waka, OJ da Juiceman, and a list of other artist.  Today him and Nicki are still tight and cool friends, Waka says.

When asked about being lyrical, Waka kept it real and let it be known he did not care about being a lyricist.  Waka made a comment which I took as direct shots to L.L. Cool J and the alike, he said “I suppose to be feeling myself right now, No Hands Just Dropped, I suppose to be in here licking my lips 30 times”.  Listen for yourself!

“I don’t feel like I’m no lyricist. I’m not in the booth trying to godd*mn rap big words,” Flocka explained in an interview. “I’m not tryin’ to show off my intelligence. Anybody could memorize big words, put ’em together. I could do that. But if I don’t use the words on an everyday basis, why use the words in my rap? I just like music. I’m a lover of making music. It could be a big record, small record–as long as I’m making songs. One day it’ll pop; that’s how I look at it. Yeah. What I did in one year–one year–a lot of people accomplish in 10 years. A lot of people don’t like that. They feel I don’t deserve what I got. I’m a hard-a** worker. And I’m here for a reason. This sh*t ain’t luck. I don’t believe in luck.”  – Waka Flocka Flame

Real talk Waka.  Hold it down!
