Nathaniel “Nate Dogg” Hale passed away at 41 last night for currently unknown reasons. However, Nate has been suffering for some years now with deteriorating health. In 2007 he suffered a stroke then in 2008 he suffered another stroke. These two incidents has put the hip hop legend in critical condition.
While he’s been fighting to recover his partner, Warren G, was keeping everyone up to date with Nate’s status. Warren G last reported in November via video interview with HipHopHollywood that Nate was in therapy trying to recover and they have set up a website that was collecting donations for Nate to help him get back on his feet.
It’s a sad day in hip hop whenever we lose a great one. Nate Dogg seemed to be a humble dude who deserved every bit of success he got!! Starting his career in the early 90’s with Snoop Dogg and best friend Warren G, Nate immediately became a force to be reckoned with when he appeared on Dr. Dre “The Chronic” and Warren G’s “Regulate“! He brought a different and soulful funk to the hip hop world which has inspired many of the melodic signing in rappers today.
May God bless his soul and may Nate’s legacy live on! Rest in peace cuz!!
