Lupe Fiasco always puts his intellectual spin on things and he questions why Justin Bieber doesn’t get the same backlash as Donald Sterling, who never actually said the N word, but Justin blatantly uses the N word and no one seems to care as much, and he even have people coming to his defense over it. The absurdity baffles Lupe.
On March 11, 2013 a six month-old babygirl named Jonylah Watkins lost her life to senseless gunfire in the Woodlawn area of Chicago. The gunmen were trying to kill her father, but accidentally struck her while the father was changing her diaper.
In this dedication song, Jonylah Forever, the Chi-Town bred Lupe Fiasco spit lyrics of premonitions as if the girl lived to be a grown adult. Rest in peace Jonylah. #StopTheViolence
Last night at Hamilton Live in Washington, DC Lupe Fiasco performed his anti-Obama song, Words I Never Said at the Presidential Inauguration concert. He rapped the song several times before promoters finally got tired and kicked him off stage. His lyrics included,
Linbaugh, is a racist. Glenn Beck is a racist. Gaza strip was getting bombed Obama didn’t say shit! That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either. I’m part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful.
It probably needed to be said, but it just wasn’t the right time or place! He brought a damper to what was suppose to be a celebration for the President. Shout out to Lupe for stirring up controversy and staying true to himself. I won’t be surprise if he gets a visit from Secret Service.
The concert organizer released a statement in regards to booting Lupe from the stage and claims it wasn’t because of his anti-Obama rant, but instead because of his repetitive performance,

Lupe Fiasco performed at this private event, and as you may have read, he left the stage earlier than we had planned. But Lupe Fiasco was not “kicked off stage” for an “anti-Obama rant.” We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech. This was not about his opinions. Instead, after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act.
The party continued as planned, and we celebrated the announcement of CodeNow’s winning the Grant Challenge. CodeNow is a non-profit startup based in Washington DC that teaches “underrepresented high school students basic skills in computer programming.
While performing a free concert in Toronto, CA the Chicago breed Lupe Fiasco shows love for the lil homie Chief Keef and retracts his statement he made a few weeks back. Lupe has had a change of heart and wants nothing more than for the youngster to do his thing and put on for the city. Let’s hope this is a truce for the two Chi-town natives.
