Childish Gambino is a self-proclaimed top 5 rapper alive. He sits down with Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club, to discuss his newest mixtape, STN MTN / KAUAI.
While in the building, he entertained us with his perception of white people vs. black people, and how although we (black people) are innovators of culture, we need to have ownership in the culture and capitalize, the same way white people do.
This is an interesting cat. He comes to the interview dressed almost like a homeless person, with holes in his sweater and all. He then has a wacked out view of the world, but if people wake up and take the blinders off, its one of the most honest viewpoints.
There’s nothing bad to say about this guy. He’s a bit nerdy, or geeky, but that’s his shtick. Props to Gambino for always being him, even in his standup. He’s real, genuine and authentic, can’t really ask for anything more.
